食物在碗裏是用in還是on

in 表示在裏面

on 表示在表面上

用in，表示在……裏面的意思，在碗裏，in the the plate 在盤子裏(因為盤子是較淺的，用 on 較合適.即使用中文説，也説在盤子上.不説在盤子裏.)

例：

He left the excess food on the plate.

他把剩餘的食物放在盤子裏

Food is usually served on the plates.

食物通常裝在盤子裏
