lady和miss的區別

lady：女士，夫人，與 gentleman 相對，是對女性的禮貌

稱呼，多用於演講或祝酒時稱呼在場的女性。

" There's a young lady here to see you.

這裏有位年輕的女士要見你。

Mind your language - there are ladies present!

你説話注意點兒——有女士在場！

" Say "thank you" to the lady， children.

孩子們，對這位女士説“謝謝”。

miss：小姐，是對未婚或不知婚姻狀況的女性的稱呼，與

姓氏連用時應大寫。

- Dr White will see you now， Miss Carter.

卡特小姐，懷特醫生現在就見你。

" That's all， thank you， Miss Lipman.

就這些，謝謝，李普曼小姐。

-'I wouldn't know about that， Miss，' the woman said

backing away.
