any other與the other後面加單複數的區別

any other意為“其他的、其他任何一個、任何其他的”，是指在同一範圍內除了某人或某物以外的其他人或事物。

any other後加單數和複數都可以。表示同一範圍比較用單數，不同範圍比較用複數。

加複數的例子：He is taller than any other girls.他比任一女孩都高。（男的與女孩相比）

加單數的例子：He is taller than any other boy.他比其他男孩高。（自己是男的，要排除自己）

the other，可以作主語：其他的，另一個，也可以做定語放在名詞前，意思一樣，但是這幾個詞中凡是前面加定冠詞the的都是有範圍的

比如那羣人中等等.主要詞組: other 就是：一個……另一個……的意思，舉個例子：

One of them is blue，the other ones are purple. 它們的其中一個是藍色的，其他的是紫色的.

用the others就是省略了後面的名詞複數，the other則後面還需要加名詞，用法方面除了這一點和the other是一樣的

例如： One of the children likes reading，the others like singing. 後句可替換為the other students like singing.

這些孩子們中的一個喜歡閲讀，其他的喜歡唱歌.
