可以連讀

這裏的連讀指的是thank尾字母k的輔音[k]與you的讀音進行連讀。

thank you: k和you連在一起：[θæŋkju]

類似的連讀還有:

there any: re和a連在一起：[ðɛ rɛ ni]

there are 英[ðɛə ɑ:] 美[ðɛr e(r)]

there is/ðeə riz/、/ðe riz/、/ð riz/

there和be在there be句型中都不需要重讀，此時弱化的音是ere部分和is的/i/音，輔音不但要保留，而且發音要清楚

從句子重音角度看，非重讀單詞中弱化的主要是元音。there和be在there be句型中都不需要重讀，此時弱化的音應該是ere部分和is的/i/音，輔音不但要保留，而且發音要清楚。另外，輔音雖然不能消失，但有時清輔音可能產生濁化現象，如water中的/t/在美國英語中實際上讀成/d/，但不要加重。
