抽象名詞前面加the嗎

如果表示特指加，否則不加

如:

I took the advice given by my teacher.

He brought us information about the incident. 

Information看成非確定特指

Information about someone or something consists of facts about them.

He is the man who can speak five languages. 

這是單數名詞的例子。複數名詞也是如此。

They are all students from Shanghai. 

定冠詞的基本用法：

①特指可用於各類名詞，包括物質名詞、抽象名詞及專有名詞。

如：I own a dog is brown。

②與可數名詞單數及某些形容詞、分詞連用，表示類別。

如：Bell  invented the telephone.

The rich get richer，and the poorvget children。

③用於表示民族、階級、黨派的名詞前。如：

The Chinese is a great  people in the world.

④表示世界上獨一無二的事物，名詞前用定冠詞。

如：The earth runs around the sun

抽象名詞就是不可數名詞，不可數名詞前面不能加a，an，但根據需要可加the冠詞：

Life is hard.

The life that I'm living is hard。
