went on和went to的区别

区别就是两者都是动词went+介词短语但意思是不一样的，具体的不同如下

went on中文意思是持续继续前进

We went on a geology field trip.我们去进行地质野外考察。

went to中文意思是准备做，已转到

They retired and went to live upstate.

他们退休后移居到州的乡野地区去了。

went是go的过去式，用于描述已经发生的事情的时做谓语动词而gone是go的过去分词

一，go  on 既可以接不定式也可以接动名词

①go on to do不定式作目的状语

例句：I've survived till now，and will go on doing so without help from you.我一直努力活到了现在，而且没有你的帮助也能继续活下去

When you back to China you can go on to do your Residence permit.意思是当你再次回到中国，你可以继承你的居留许可办理的流程。

②go on doing是分词作宾语：

It's raining hard，but the farmers go on working on the farm。翻译为虽然天正下着大雨，但农民们继续干活
